When I checked the libraries I was following, I was surprised how they used twitter to direct people to their website or blog to read the newest articles. I am finding it iteresting how twitter can be used for that purpose. It seems to be a natural way to communicate more information than can be put in a tweet.
I am not sure how much I will use twitter for my library at this point, but I am enjoying using it, looking at the posts of the day and trying to post to it on a daily basis. Ican see it being a medium to direct students or parents to a web site with new acquisitions on it or special promotions that might be happening.
